Laser anti-external damage online monitoring system: Equipping high-voltage lines with dual protection, immediately halting danger when it approaches.

2026-03-19

Power transmission lines often run through both rural and urban areas, making them highly vulnerable to various external damages. These include overgrown trees in rural areas, fallen trees touching the lines, large machinery such as cranes, pump trucks, and excavators in cities and construction sites operating in violation of regulations and touching high-voltage lines, vehicles colliding with poles, construction work digging up cables, as well as foreign objects like kites and plastic films getting entangled, blasting in mountainous areas, and theft of tower materials and conductors. These hazards not only cause line tripping and large-scale power outages but also easily lead to serious safety incidents such as electric shock and fire, directly threatening personal safety and the stable operation of the power grid.

How to prevent external damage to power transmission lines? Guangxi Haizhuo Technology has launched the HIZ-SD-FWP power transmission line laser anti-external damage online monitoring device, which is equipped with a laser detector and AI video surveillance for dual protection, ensuring the safety of the lines.

The first layer of protection is provided by the laser detector. When it detects dangerous situations such as cranes exceeding height limits, it will immediately trigger a sound and light alarm to alert on-site personnel to stop the operation. At the same time, the alarm signal will be uploaded to the central platform via 5G/4G networks, promptly notifying the alarm response personnel. Staff can view real-time videos through their mobile phones or computers and issue remote voice warnings to quickly stop dangerous operations.

The second layer of protection is provided by the AI video camera. When it detects the intrusion of cranes or other foreign objects, it will immediately start recording and issue a warning. The monitoring center can intervene in real-time through voice, effectively preventing external damage incidents from the source.
